Welcome! Singing the Jewish prayers in Moroccan synagogues as a child has been one of my greatest pleasures in life. Over the years, I had the good fortune of leading the prayer services for numerous synagogues. Many know me for my Haftarah readings for which I owe much gratitude to my many gifted teachers.

Throughout my years of leading prayer services and teaching bar mitzvah lessons, I have received many requests to record some prayers and songs so that others may learn them. Fortunately, technology has evolved to a point where I am now able to make these professional recordings available to the general public. I’ll be adding recordings regularly, so feel free to check back as often as you can. I hope you enjoy the recordings.

Short & Effective Lessons

Though we truly believe that anyone can learn simply by listening to our recordings, we recognize that some students prefer to have direct contact with the teacher in order to feel confident about what they’ve learned. We offer lessons by phone, or when necessary, over the internet. Pricing is really affordable - only $25 per session.

Benefits of our online Bar Mitzvah lessons:

  1. Convenient & Affordable

  2. Taught by the same teacher who created the recordings on this site

  3. Teacher has 15 years of experience teaching both children and adults, including students who did not know the Aleph Bet.

Lessons for adults

There are many adults who are inspired to learn their bar mitzvah portion “the right way” so they can perform it at their synagogue. Whether you are a dad who got inspired at your son’s bar mitzvah, or if you never had the chance to read or sing at your own bar mitzvah, we can help you! We recommend that you first try practicing with one of the pre-recorded Torah readings and then contact us if you need a lesson.

Study Tips

A proven method

  1. Divide your reading into 3 or 4 sections.

  2. Practice reading your portion until you can read it fast enough with few mistakes.

  3. Start singing along with the audio recording you downloaded. (It might help to have someone listen in to make sure it sounds right).

  4. Once you know the first section, move on to the second section and so on.

  5. When you know all sections, practice singing it out loud to family members ... you will surely impress them.

  6. And if you want to make sure it sounds good before the big day ... you can always take a lesson.
